Internal Drive
To your left and right the present,
Behind you is your past,
Forward is your future,
Passing ever so fast.

So what drives you?
To make the best of what's ahead,
Don't ever drop your dreams,
And let them lie there dead.

Why not instead just take those dreams,
And reverse them so they're alive,
Open up with perseverance,
And use that internal drive.

Drive yourself till they're accomplished,
Nothing more to be said,
To see the future unfold right before you,
Now you can see ahead.
